Re: Alert Lock....Scary testing results for GX-65.
I'll be the first to warn you...its a completely different beast.
Some people rave about their 1965 Ford pickup truck that God himself can't destroy and how its lightyears better then the 'crap' they build now. Looks like crap, runs great.
Then you have today's glitzy trucks where you open the hood and all you see is plastic suffocating the engine and electronic gizmos.
The V1 falls into the former category.
Re: Alert Lock....Scary testing results for GX-65.
Did you drive two miles away from the locked out radius, then power down the detector?
I'm not sure when but I do remember that as being part of the protocol, that at least Escort was using at one time.
Or at least that's what the Escort zombies came up with after the GoL test when we exposed the 9500i.

CJ where are you? We know we know look at your faq:):):):):):):):):):):lol::lol::lol::lol:
Re: Alert Lock....Scary testing results for GX-65.
I don't know if it's more a FAQ than an Escort Bible. :p
Re: Alert Lock....Scary testing results for GX-65.
yes he powered down the detector and let the area and drove a mile more down the road and returned. still the same results no k band in the lock out zone

only the ka band 35.5 from my talon would work in the lock out zone
Does that mean they all fell into the one locked out segment of K band? Each segment is supposed to be about 30 MHz and they are all within 30 MHz of each other. According to the chart, the Decatur Genesis 24.153 was correctly blocked out even though it would have resulted in a ticket. However, the Kustom Signals 24.173 should have alerted if the chart is accurate.

Yeah I was thinking that too when I saw the frequencies. It looks to me like they all fall into the frequency blocks for the lockouts. If they did, didn't the GX-65 do as it should?
It would have been more clear if you had used K guns with a larger frequency spread.
Re: Alert Lock....Scary testing results for GX-65.
again I will tell everyone including the Escort zombies, THE LOCKOUT FEATURE ON THESE GPS RD's IS BROKEN!
Re: Alert Lock....Scary testing results for GX-65.
Sorry to burst the Gx65 grassy knoll scenerio, but you can not use the gun as a source to lock out. A true test would be typical false like a door opener, then set up and shot from that point on. Everyone wants Tru/Auto lock to fail, in the real world and all the users on this board no one has reported a ticket due to Trulock not working properly.

I'm no Zombie, at least not to Belscorts. I just want to be as fair as possible.
