Choice between the STi Magnum and the Escort Redline

Slight edge to the RedLine in Ka/K detection range.

The Magnum has a more usuable Ka rampup since the RedLine likes to go full tilt on anything but a very weak signal.

Control locations, display and alert tones are all user preference.

Price wise, the Magnum is $30 cheaper at $469, but the RedLine bundled with EscortLive is a good deal now at $540.

I have been very happy with my STi magnum. Just completed a 4500 mile trip with excellent range and the rampup was very good. Would the redline have done better, not sure but the magnum did an excellent job. The LI saved me a few times too.

I'd take the STi Magnum on ramp up characteristics alone. From the videos I have seen, when compared side by side the STi Magnum and Redline seem identical in performance even though the official answer from Escort is that the Redline is slightly better.

I made the choice. I pick the magnum. On a fedex truck for tomarrow delivery. Great price from radarbusters. Dont have to pay for it for 6 months. -)
