I dont think the ZR3 was designed for the heads to work independently... Hook it up according to the installation manual.
I have hooked up a splitter on the rear port to connect 2 heads for the rear section. What i also found out is that if you can get a hold of another pair of front heads and hook those to the splitter on the rear port, the ZR3 provides more than enough coverage for the back of your vehicle. It worked very well for me.
yeah, not sure since the ZR3 by design uses a splitter.
i suppose one front head in each plug would work, but i don't know if it would yield any better or worse results.
i'd say unless that was tested, use all 3 shifters up front as is usually suggested.
