It's not too much of a concern really, it was just the 'what if" and didn't want to put something that might interfere with something else.

Thanks all for your feedback!
I'm sure i'm not the only one, but i don't recommend using ONLY 3m tape for a permanent mount, especially in winter, it has a harder time sticking.
Mine are mounted by a metal L bracket. since the little plastic ones wouldn't work where i placed them. They might work for you though. But even though 3M is tough as hell.. it wont last.
Pardon the thread jack, (I think they are too low also)
But, are you going to ZdayZ this year?
I am not in NY area and I don't plan to be making any trips to that region for along time....Also my Laser Atlanta is broken and I am too cheap to repair it.
Your Blinder heads are EXTREMELY too low and they are angled out to the sides.
Heads should he within 18" from headlight and should be pointed straight down the road and not out to the side!
I use 3M heavy duty all weather mounting tape to mount my heads and I have had amazing luck. They are actually harder to make stick in the summer. In the Winter they are easier
1. Too low.
2. I think there is a problem with mounting them upside down. I know the ZR3/4s have trouble. Ask Blinder Guy.
3. 3M Moulding tape has been holding up my LPP since forever ago. Just make sure you clean up the area well. Since it'd be held by tape, you could remove them in case you needed to use the tow hook. It'd just take some wiggling to loosen the grip.
Hi
i am also from NYC, brooklyn to be exact and i am getting my blinder m47 next week, and after i install it i would love to get it tested to make sure that this investment is working properly before i get into any trouble. Were you able to find a member or a place here to get it tested?
btw did you do install yourself?
