Yes but you will not be able to stop, or turn, and the car will disintegrate and you will DIE  Those things were hairy when they had 90 hp GTI engines in them

All these questions about what new RD do I need and now what car do I need. Please dont ask where to mount it too. :D
i personally like the GTP better, but theres no way id be driving an automatic, get the Talon and a 5-speed
I still say GTP just because its more realiable and the pricing i mentioned earlier. im not a huge fan of imports, i love the sound of a cammed GTP, resembles an old V8 muscle car.
Like I said before, I would be set on the GTP if it came in a manual.
I LOVE manuals. I think it is pretty boring to drive an auto. But, I have never driven an auto that was fast.
well i'm lazy and have the auto, but I use the sequential about 90% of the time anyways......... Manuals can be alot of trouble, but I will admit, lots of good fun
Huh?Quote:

That goes to show you how much I enjoy driving stick.
But honestly, I have good fun in my wife's slushbox WRX, too.
The difference, to me, is that with a manual, you're "one with the car." With the slushbox, you're effectively battling another aspect of mechanical control - and I tend to view driving her car as a game of "me trying to out-guess and out-manipulate the car," rather than seeking peace with it.
So yes, a slushbox can be fun.
And bro, there are a LOT of fast slushboxes around nowadays, especially with all the semi-automatics and automatic-manuals around that are dedicated to such sporty interactions. Many are even faster than their manual counterparts, and with the consistency of having a machine/computer take over this interaction, they're also *consistently* faster, too.
Don't turn your nose up at a car just because it's got a slushbox. :)
Not really turning my nose up at autotragics, but I do enjoy driving a manual. The ONLY time a manual sucks is in traffic and I don't encounter traffic all that often.
then buy the manual car dude, if a slushbox is that much of a turn off and if you enjoy driving sticks THAT much, then by all means, get a manual transmission car..... forget the GTP and go for something elseQuote:

You have no idea how much I had to grovel and beg.
A part of owning the vehicle is indeed driving enjoyment - certainly, there may come times when a compromise may need to be reached, but you'll need to come to those decisions by weighing all the pros and cons.
Best of luck!
This thread wasn't really supposed to turn into - "should I buy the DSM or the GTP???" Both cars have their pros and cons.
The thread was supposed to be about getting other ideas for cars.
Have you thought about a Miata? I know they arent the best cars for MN winters but you could keep your 626 in the garage for a winter car and when you need space for something larger than a box of tic-tacs in your trunk.
My grandpa had one a while back and they are super fun cars, some people think that they are chick cars, but whatever with a little bit of money into the springs/shocks and IHE you could do some hurtin on people.
I can't stand the way the Miata looks like, they remind me of a stubby penis. I am sure they handle wonderfully, but looks are VERY important to me.
Then wait a couple years and get an end of lease Solstice :P Oh wait it also looks like a vibrator
How about get an old Fiero and then stick in a GTP engine and a 5-speed in it. Those cars kick ass!
I love the Solstice and the Sky! They are a little pricey though.
Thats a 13 second car...with a stock GTP motor and a 5spd trannyQuote:

Ive never had a problem with regular un-riced Integras
maybe an older Celica, I especially like the 5th gen, a good ST183 wont run you too much cash, and theres always the 6th gen ST203 for a bit more, but I never liked the look of that one....a 7th gen ZZT230 is a long shot and a bit pricey depending on where you go, but its a nice car and looks pretty good too
