    Default My loaner car LOL!

I dropped Starla off for service and they put me in the biggest SUV I've ever seen for a loaner. I think it's a Yukon but they all look the same to me.

You should know that although I'm running the V1 in it. I'm staying less than 5 over the PSL and keeping in the right lane. Also, I let a bunch of smaller cars past me when I was mergingn on the freeway. One of them even waved.

BTW: The view is pretty nice up here but I can't say i feel very safe. In fact I feel like I'm about to flip over all the time. And the brakes. Yikes, those are scary. This vehicle is clearly made for the "deatched" operator. No road feel at all and very little feeedback from the engine, suspension or brakes. In other words a complete p.o.s.

Might as well drive a school bus, it would be a better ride.

What is funny is that it probably has the same engine as your Corvette

You are the biggest ANTI suv guy i know.

I cant pull a god damn ****in boat with a station wagon. GET OFF OUR BACKS! Jesus christ.

And the new Yukons are quite nice. They have won awards and crap from people like Consumer Reports, who hate SUVs.

The thing weighs a good 5 tons more than your damn Corvette. off course its going to drive a bit different. Its supposed to be a cruiser, and be smooth, so thats why their is no engine feel or any feel.

I saw some idiot woman in one of those big things today backing out of a spot. She backed right in to a mini van, tapped it ( not hard ) , and drove away. Had I of been able to get a better description or a plate I would have left a note. Only thing I could tell was that she was the only one inside that huge SUV. What a waste of fuel.

Why can't you tow with a station wagon? It worked 30 years ago :P And even my four banger hatchback is rated to pull about 3 300 lbs (w/brakes mind you) with the factory hitch and I have one somewhere :P

5 tons, that's 5 000 kg or 10 000 lbs depending if you are talking real units or made up ones and that is a LOT for a vehicle.

Corvette curb weight is about 1 400 kg and a full sized 2007 Yukon weighs about 2 400 kg. Not a huge difference but hell, 2 400 kg is a lot. Actually earlier today we were complaining about the "heavy POS formula car" that only weighed about 300 kg. No leather on that baby.

I do agree the new fullsize GM SUV's are quite nice. But that isn't some kind of vehicle I would dump big money to own. I'd rather a Corvette 8)

I kinda feel the same every time I have to drive my Mom's LX450.... its huge and I feel like im gonna roll itall the time... but in the end just cruising in a straight line, it does ride like a Lexus should , nice and smooth.... I still always wanna jump right back into my little more down-to-earth CL...... but I gotta say it is nice to see OVER those stupid pick-ups every now and then

A station wagon is not gonna pull a 20 foot boat that weighs probably probably as much as the car. Thats an accident waiting to happen.

And fuel economy? These new trucks get 20mpg on the highway. Thats pretty good for somthing the size of a mall. I have been looking at cars latly and their gas mileage is about like that to. Hell, our Infiniti gets 18 around town.

You guys have NO room to talk about SUVs. Not all of us need little gay ass minivans or some gay ass station wagon. We need trucks, with truck frames so we can tow **** and still be able to pull our boats and other crap that little dinky minivans cant.

You guys are so friggen ignorant. All you see is soccer moms driving around in the things with their little kids, well you know what, thats THEIR choice. You cant change it.

But dont try to change it for the rest of us that actually use them.

And a modded Trailblazer SS with cam, exhaust, tune, and what not will walk passed a Corvette at a light. They can be fast to. They are good on TRIPS, and towing crap. And its still PRACTICAL for a family. I cant think of anything like a Trailblazer SS with AWD and still hauls ass but can still haul 5 people.

    Corvette sure as hell wont.
