Speeding Texans, pull your front plate

Ive driven 90mph allday in texas for mo.s all the laser cops either look or dont do anything and not a problem until yea if your suspicious they will pull u over and they can take you to jail now i heard new law, happend to me already that front plate will catch up to you one day and can be a huge nightmare situation you never know just keep thinking ur bulletproof Florida is great be registered there dont have to have a front plate in the big wang state...... texas sucks donkey i mean huge..... there flag makes me sick its such a joke the laws suck arse when i leave the state i forget all about that gay flag on every sticker and flag pole, i piss on texas everyday only thing good here is work still and lots of jtg = big middle finger _I_ Have A Nice Day!!! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

The new law still doesn't clarify the location of the front plate and actually makes laser shields legal so its good for the people who live here.

That's correct the location of the front and back plate are not defined but you must put your back plate on the back for the simple fact a license plate light is required during darkness or when your headlights are turned on.

Laser shields are legal as long as they are clear and don't distort legibility of the numbers.

I dunno but lasershield doesnt do jack against lidar. The only use I see is that it makes the plate easier to clean...

It actually does help out and compliment laser protection it drastically cuts the retro-reflectiveness of the front plate which helps

Carry the front plate under your car seat and if they pull you over throw in on your dash. It's considered the same as the bumper. Just don't let them see you put it there ;)

AstroCreep was ticketed for improper display of a state license plate when it was on his dash. HPD said it needs to be affixed, unobstructed in a permanent manner on the outside front of the vehicle. HPD considered the front windshield an obstruction.

That said my Mom hasn't had a front plate on her car in 10 years and she's never been pulled over for it. I've been cited twice but both times were 2 a.m. on service roads so you can imagine what they were really pulling me over for.

HPD can SAY whatever they want, when it comes to trial it is a whole different ball park then on the Street.

reasonably suspecting a violation of section 502.409(5) or (7). We

All that is required to meet the letter of the law and the intent of the statute, is that the license plate be DISPLAYED at the front of the vehicle,
the statute does not require it to be permanantly or physically attached thereto the vehicle, nor impose any requirement that the plate be on the inside or
outside of the vehicle. The apparent purpose of the statute as State vs Losoya points out is to facilitate identification of the vehicle while driving towards
or away from it, that is all.
