So this isn't officially set yet?
I assume then we won't be bothering with it in June?
Well, Since this is the "Alpine- Invatational." I have already posted a date. June 21st, although Since Jim, and Languy haven't found a acceptable location yet, it might be postponed. It will still be during the "summer" months though.
I'm currently working on getting a new camera for this event.
ALso i'm currently fighting a traffic ticket.
So hence i've been very busy. Not to mention my g/f dumped me so i've had a "ton" on my mind lately.
The event is being Postponed for another Month.
July 18th and July 19th.
I won't be able to come up with another camera by then. I'll have to use what i've always had, although it gives us time to find a suitable location. I will be coming down to Lansing to find a suitable location This upcoming Thurs June, 4th.
I'm going to come down and spend the entire day searching for Something south of lansing.
Or possibly even near the Brighton Area.
So mark your Calendars "I WILL HAVE a Testing Date By July 18th and 19th."

Hey alpine we can always use my camera, I don't mind making the video for this years event. I have a canon optura 60 that is great. Also I have Adobe production studio on my PC so I can do all of the editing and everything.
Hey when you get into lansing hit me up, I can help you look for areas. Also check your PM.

I did find a suitable location that was 3-4 miles long like we need, but county and state law enforcement patrols this stretch so it wouldn't work unfortunately.:( I have someone looking in around Battle Creek/Kalamazoo also.
I can't make it on the postponed date :(.

Well. Some news. This event is formally up to Languy. I'm leaving the ropes in his hands. I'm passing it on to you Languy. I officially will not be attending the event if there is one in michigan this year. I have had some things Transpire where i cannot do this anylonger.

Sorry to hear that Alpine, I was looking forward to seeing you again this year.
As always, my participation is dependant on the date and location.. and to be honest my work keeps my schedule fairly erratic.
July would be a better month for me, but I'll try my best to attend whatever date you can all agree to.
I'm going to start working on a flyer that includes all of the important information to distribute to everyone that is coming. In the flyer it will include the date, location (including GPS coordinates), hotels, restaurants, etc. When it is ready I will PM people on here the LINK to download it.

More information will be coming soon.
But, I have pushed the test back to the end of July, that will give me enough time to get everything set (get equipment) and enough time for people to request time off. It will also give me enough time to scout locations.
The location will be around the Lansing area. The official location is not yet set and it will also only be revealed to those confirmed attending so we don't have any unexpected visitors. :D
I am away July 17-26, so if the meeting is after that, I would be interested, but don't let my schedule dictate the time (as I am sure you wouldn't).Quote:
