Re: Atlanta Jammerfest 2 Results
*Edit*
Stealthy, if you have a problem with me, address this through PM's. You made one comment about not being able to clock cars and I ran with it. If it truly pissed you off that much, I apologize. But you're going to have to stop lashing out at me.

Point taken.

To answer your question, the manufacturer of "Your" jammer said that the Stalker LZ1 was all about brute power. You own the guns, go check out the intensity of the beams and the reflections using an IR camera.
I have two jammers, so I'm not sure who you are talking about. However, that is what I was looking for, which was your definition of "power". What you are talking about is potential power. What I am talking about is effective power. A .44 magnum has more potential power than a 9mm. But if the 9mm kills you, and the .44 magnum does not, then it is the 9mm that has more effective power. That's why I asked for a clarification of what you are talking about.
Which gun has a more intense beam? I dunno. I'm not sure how you would even accurately measure such a thing. But the numbers don't lie, and the numbers from our Atlanta runs say that the Ultralyte has more effective power than the Stalker.
Again, it's not even a valid concern since jamming is not all about power, potential or otherwise.

Sorry for not being clear. I was referring to your LI. Regardless, the Man said it and I simply repeated it. And the overall message in that post was not about power.
Re: Atlanta Jammerfest 2 Results
I share your curiosity regarding how we observed results that vary from the conventional wisdom. I wish more testers would post their baselines so that we could keep better track of such things. Obviously, results from one meet are not likely to result in any absolute truths. The best we can do is to study the results we see and question everything we hear.
Re: Atlanta Jammerfest 2 Results
Through my observation of IR put out by guns and painting a sign 200feet away the Stalker LZ1 has the brightest IR signature I have seen. But funny thing is the range isn't as good as the Laser Atlanta which IR signature isn't brighter than the Stalker LZ1
Just my observations
Re: Atlanta Jammerfest 2 Results
Hopefully we can test the LI again next week in Austin...

If we can get it away from Fritter. I'm betting he's going to like it! :D

The consensus is that, in North America, the Pro2 and LA have the best optics (ignoring the TruSpeed because of limited range). You should know this from that uber long distance shot you got a while back. Suf was able to tag a large road sign @ 10000 feet away with the Stalker. Bright beam yes, but it has trouble seeing that beam. I've clocked cars going, in excess of 3000 ft with the Stalker. It was not the easiest thing to do without the aid of a tripod. But yet with the Laser Atlanta, I could easily clock anything @ the max length of a test strip. This was coming or going. The Laser Atlanta is in another league.
Re: Atlanta Jammerfest 2 Results
I'm really surprised that LA doesn't have a bigger market share. They have a superior product at a very competitive price. Sure, Kustom and Stalker have name recognition. And LTI has the advantage of being the first in the field. But, despite what the police chiefs buy, the cop on the street tends to prefer the over-and-under guns to the side-by-side guns for daily use. And usually, when you build a better mousetrap, the world beats a path to your doorstep. The only thing I can think of is their marketing strategy sucks. They should hire me to sell for them.

Shall I stop by their office next week and drop off your resume? I don't understand why they don't have a bigger market share either.
