Well evidently the radardetector.net server couldn't handle the traffic load. :eek: But I got everything running again, had to rebuild the database. :mad: In the mean time, I also fixed most of the typos and omissions in the results, and posted updated charts with pictures of the detectors, so if you look at the results again be sure to hit refresh. :)
Whistler does very well when the radar antenna is pointed directly at you coming towards you. Off axis is descent. I have had 4 mile constant on 34.7
I'm surprised by the V1 3.863 and 3.864 at how low the 2 preformed in some cases:confused: Plus where is the X band test?
Was POP on or off on the V1 during the Instant-On Test? Venom400 have said that if you turn POP off you will miss K QT like 5 out of 10 in his testing. Have you guys notice that? Wouldn't turning POP on and Ka guard off also make the V1 more noisy?

Great job on the tests!
The test results matched my real-world experience.
I found it suprising that the GX-65 did better in the instant-on tests with GPS on. Additionally, it is not so good on K band. The old 985 held it's own in some of the tests, especially on K band.
If I drove much in AZ I would be getting one those vertical mounts!
I hope the results don't encourage more people to buy Cobras!:eek:
In which tests did the V1 have POP on?
The V1 did better with off-axis 35.5 than I expected.

I'm disappointed by how poorly the 9500ix did against 34.7, which is my #1 threat by far. I'm particularly intrigued/annoyed by the fact that it did well in the first instant on test against 34.7 with GPS off, 6 of 6 alerts ... but poorly with GPS on, 2 of 6 alerts. GPS is not supposed to affect Ka at all ...
