Re: GOL 2009 Radar WRAPPED UP!!!!!!!!
Quick Trigger is a conspiracy. Craig Peterson said so. :o
Re: GOL 2009 Radar WRAPPED UP!!!!!!!!
SO on what page out of the 70+ that there are are the results?

For reference, here is some more 34.7 testing on Stealth Stalker's V1

Re: GOL 2009 Radar WRAPPED UP!!!!!!!!
WOW, interesting and unexpected results. Thanks GOL! I'm surprised that the STi-R and 9500ci didn't do even better. No Redline yet, I guess. The 1/2 sec Quick Trigger (QT) results are especially appreciated.
Although I've been content with my STi Driver (NOT -R) lately, I have also slowed down a bit. Personally, I need to figure out how to get some 1/4 sec QT testing done at 34.7, since this is what I seem to be up against on one rather challenging NYS route. After digesting the latest GOL results, I think I might just dust off my V1 3.872 and disable Ka guard for that stretch. Due to the curves and foliage, most received signals are faint reflections of one kind or another. Assuming I'm up against circular polarized Stalker Dual through there, would there be any benefit to running both V1 and STi, but with one mounted vertically (perhaps with Eccosorb between them -- where can I get some)?

Was the 9500ci tested this time (not just sti-r)? I didn't see it in the results.
We tested mine and happya$$'s. They are both a year old now, and mine is in the grill so we couldn't use it for the off axis testing.
This was mine for zero degrees on the controlled side. If you want to use it to compare.
33.8 = 953
34.7 = 1984
35.5 = 1774

Hmmmm. All Radar detector's use vertical polarization which is compatible with circular polarized radar tranmitters at any angle. However, since the RD antenna was optimized for use in the standard mounting position you might find that mounting it vertically will adversely affect off-axis detection while improving over the hill detection? Don't know as I've never seen tests done like this unless they were against Foreign makes of Radars that are Horizontally polarized.
One thing is for sure............if you ever get pinged by a Stalker ATR your vertically mounted RD will be virtually blind. The Stalker ATR is one of the few Radars that is Veritically Polarized due to it's rectangular horn.
One other point of interest here is that mounting one RD vertical and the other conventionally should reduce the chance of interference between the two.

Ugh, the CI owned 35.5 & 34.7. 33.8 was decent, but they could do better.

is this it? or is more coming?
