The only time I turn Ka guard is if I'm in the middle of nowhere or it is late night/ early morning. My v1(3.864) with Ka guard off is like a Spectre IV.

Very true and I may add that almost all if not all V1's have this problem regardless of version number. Unless, VR has found a solution for it lately.
