No saying a V1 is a p.o.s. but.....
Now this talk about Bel, and Escort as one company accually bothers me because i have seen Bel's product and used it and i hatted it... So the question is out their who baught who

Bel bought Escort..
They should build a V1 type line that is truly upgradeable this would kick butt.
But they see increased support costs as a problem with this business model.
But if you have good QA and Support model it could work fantastically.
V1 has already shown that this model can work. Only if it is a niche market.
They easily could have done this with the RX line of detectors.
So if they didn’t with the RX line they never will.

Now enough zombieism, let's get back on topic. this isn't a V1 vs Escort vs Bel thread, it's about the next product for Escort.

i had a dream the other night that i had an X50 with shifting capablities built right into the detector.... Ahhh What a Dream,
But i dought that could ever happen
It would be nice to see the new escort stuff and me working for a company that sell escort im pumped

I also am one of the X50 owners planning to migrate to V1 unless escort gets their **** together with "upgradability" (ha).

I do hope that Valentine comes out with a leak-proof unit, though.

i have been useing my X50 for some time, less then a year is upgrade ablity that big of a deal to get done
is it worth it to upgrade
