exactly as Robert's...if it is turned off, how do you know you have not been zapped by x-band?
if x-band "falsing" is such a nuisance with the x50, then maybe the selectivity is not all that impressive.

Well i finally turned my X band on low. HOLY CRAP is that alert LOUD at full blast. It only went off a few times for some very heavily saturated door opener areas and it just about deffended me. That is ALMOST as loud at the Blinder's Alert. I think i'm going to turn it back off though because I really doubt I have any X-Band cops by me.
