funny except contrary to my username, I'm not a "kid" anymore as much as I'd like to be. and as much as the "no speed = no risk" is true, so is the "no truelock = no risk"

I thought plenty about my lockout locations and also followed directions to "cut down" on the lockout radius both by shutting down and repowering after a mile of driving, and locking out at the lowest signal from the false. If unfortunately still locked out real LEO's almost 1/2 mile from the lockout point.
Thanks, but no thanks....and to think of adding "AutoLearn" as another added possible fault....Thanks but no thanks......I can see it now locking out areas with no falses but a LEO passed in the same location more than once.

I'll stick with the "give me the alerts when they're strong enough and I'll decide if I need to worry...because TrueLock has proven to put me at a disadvantage from those detectors that DONT have it"

And your absolutely correct, for a person that is in a "High Risk" scenario, has no tolerance for risk, or the desire for adjusting there driving habits according to area to reduce the amount of falses, or take the time to know everything about radar and what there local use they shouldn’t use TrueLock or any tricks. (I called it a "High Risk" area for a reason)
The only way to look at it would be a "High Risk" area, and to not lock everything out for that person.
But im wiling to bet after using the 9500I and this sight for a good 6 months you will have a better understanding of how Radar works and you may lock out a few logical places that would be fine using the maximum 1/2mi lock out radius.

There are still no examples of Truelock causing someone a ticket. Truelock works. Period. As with any false alert suppression, risk is intentionally added, but the truth is that Truelock has proven itself to be less risky than originally thought.

We get it. You're not going to use it. GOOD! No one should use any feature they don't understand or know how to use. Hundreds of thousands of miles have been logged by very experienced members of this board with zero problems caused by Truelock, yet you with your obvious lack of radar knowledge and experience are sure you've seen a problem. Sorry, I don't buy it. You claim to be a knowlegeable RD user by saying you've owned an 8500, X50 and now a 9500i, yet posts such as these prove otherwise:

Your responses are all bogus. The truth is that you don't know how Truelock works and lack the experience to determine if Truelock failed or not. That's a fact. If Truelock fails me, I will post a video proving it, because I have the knowlege necessary to do so, assuming there are no looming court procedings of course.

TrueLock, based on my understanding of how it functions, could theoretically screw a user over.

The Valentine's rear antenna is, for some of our environments (read: lots of stuff for reflections) and purposes, needless. Better on paper than in practice.

The x50's frequency display is a triviality to some people. The silver is a "steal me!" color. I like it.

They're all great detectors. Use what makes you happiest. If someone else doesn't agree, so f*cking what? Stop bickering like a couple of 14 year old schoolgirls over the football team's quarterback.
