Im so useto the compleate silence because i have the supermarket locked out i actually heard another guys RD go off and new it was a V1. Man i have issues.

    Let me guess:
All 3 Arrows lit-up, 9 pegged on the meter on X/Kband, and the 'blinking' arrow going between all 3 arrows about once every 2 seconds. Sounds like my V1 anywhere in my city... worthless.

Oh well thats why I would never just have one high-end RD to use, because my V1 very rarely stays up in a city...

The Escort Solo (S2) has terrible detection, similar to a Cobra. Not to mention is worthless against instant-on?

I don't know how you loved that detector?

    I've never owned a Escort Solo (S2).

The good thing about your X-50 is that it told you that it needed service. The V1 will give no warning when it falls out of tune.

This is bs. The never version will tell you by displaying E.

Sounds like something they copied from a company we know?

For the thousands (the majority of V1 users rather) who don't own the newer ones they have to guess when their units are out of tune (like you), there are probably hundreds if not thousands of V1 owners who have out of tune units, and simply don't know it, because it took VR so long to copy a company which keeps up with advancing tech.

Sorry I also read and comprehend that you owned a SOLO.
Guess I will pass on defending what I think is a great RD. Anger management, I feel sure you have been offered it before.

I think he was referring to SOLO beer cups.

Obviously knowledge is not required from new users. You are talking about an Escort Solo which required a security key (to deter theft)? Yes yes, the results for that unit would have been just as bad, actually most likely WORSE then the S2, cordless=worthless, Solo... Solo S2 or otherwise. I put the parenthesis around the (S2) part to encompass the Solo AND the S2, maybe Solo/Solo S2 would have shown that better.

As fireant said... get anger management.

He must have lost his security key to his cups in a drunken-rage after losing a pong match or something?

    Really though:

To the original poster I will say this: I can understand you are upset with Escort, but venting in the Escort section of the forum about how much you hate their products (not how you can get any issue resolved with our help) along with bashing respected forum members like MEM-TEK, is just not a good introduction.

The Zombies in the V1 forum would love to hear this, because thats all they do is bash other companies.

Your name on the forum says a lot, and just for it many people on here will ignore your posts. Belscort has been doing a great-many things in the RD industry as of late.

As I said before... every RD is prone to failure. Have you called Escort, and told them of your issue? What did they say? Their CS has been stepped-up lately (though I am sure you already have called them, and I am sure they blew you off correct?)

I really do understand why you are upset (I was just as upset at VR when my V1 came to me 'brand-new' out of the box with a scratch across the front display-on the INSIDE-, and the front antenna completely out-of tune, not to mention suction cups which seemed to be picked from a cob-webbed corner in the basement.) Yes I was ticked, but note that I called and tried out their CS with a civil tone, and they treated me with the up-most respect in turn. I also had been on the forum for awhile before I exclaimed my extreme-dissatisfaction with the V1 I was given.

So trust me I can sympathize with your displeasure, I just feel that your entrance (including your forum name) will not make your stay as enlightening, nor as long as it could be...

Welcome to the forum BTW. (Notice how no one else has said that in this thread, thats just a hint it may not be the best way to start off your stay in a brand-new forum).
