Just for some additional information that may help. I’ll have to disagree with the thought of Vascar not being used in moving mode. Vascar can and has been used in moving mode on the ground here in NC for a long time. Google VASCARplus for details. I don’t think the LEO’s are doing moving mode that much any more if at all, especially with the enhancements in radar guns, but when I was on the road they sure did. Most of the LEO’s nowadays use Vascar from a stationary point from what I have seen. May help with holding the donuts and coffee, LOL! :D

Whether it was Vascar of something with radar for east1999 I couldn’t tell ya. Just thought I’d let you know it is a possible tool in the LEO’s arsenal of toys.

From time to time I follow the threds in this web site. I own a 9500I for 6 months and I'm very proud of it. I used it 95% on a motorcycle and it had save me from the cops more than 5 times. My average speed on the freeway is 75 mph.

I used truelock and it works just fine never have let me down and showed me cops in areas that I had locked before.

RADARKID is a very annoying KID. He probably suffer from some type of behavior desorder.

Just be careful - remember that there are technical limitations to TrueLock - it can only "resolve" so much.

I lock-out in CJR's "High Risk" areas simply because they are along my everyday routes of travel. To have a quiet detector is a blessing to me, as I live in a dense-false suburban/urban setting. But to this, I always counterweigh with the fact that I simply don't speed in such areas, so it matters little to me whether or not TrueLock "resolves" a threat for a false - but for academic/"oh wow" concerns. ;)

Because of my usage as-such, I've both seen where TrueLock successfully "sniffed out" the true versus false - and I've also seen cases where TrueLock locked out both.

It's a technical limitation. Not a fault of the detector, just a limitation that you have to remember. Same as we can't leap tall buildings in a single bound, it's not that we're faulty, it's just that's the limitations of our muscles and gravity.

He pulled me, walked up, asked why I was speeding. I responded I did not realize I was speeding. He walked away.

After he came back and handed me a ticket for 15mph over the speed limit, I asked him how he clocked me. Therefore your assessment above makes no sense. If I had started railing on him about it before he gave me the ticket, sure, but I didn't. He's a state trooper, a liar, and a loser, like all cops.

No, still the same situation. You played stupid (lied) when asked why you were speeding. You blew your last line of defence, which is attitude. When he asks you that, that is your last chance to get out of the ticket. But, rather than saying something humble and intelligent, you said the one thing that ensures you will receive a ticket. Even if he did lie, you did too, so I'd say that makes you even.

TrueLock in the ix and I work the same way, however Autolock is an additional feature that's based off TrueLock from the I. xi has manual TrueLock and Autolock.
Autolock is an automatic way of locking/unlocking of falses in the same area after being seen ~3 times.

Autolock adds the benafit of unlocking a false that changes, there for decreasing the chance of locking out a real thret just a bit more.

Wow, I would have gotten that guy fired. Still not the best choice of words but he was out of line. He lied and he knows it as well as you do. Saying your speeding too was a lie. Then just thinking of something to give you a ticket for, I would have walked right on inside.

The fact is I wouldn't care about the ticket, its the fact that he lied and was trying to pin something on you for some reason or another. I respect LEO's but types like these make me pissed. Thats why I fought a ticket that was complete bs, because the officer wrote me a bogus ticket for reckless driving when it was raining outside and me and several other cars in front of me and behind me were going the same speed and I just happened to slip out because of the terrible tires I had in the rear. I did nothing wrong, and I got the witness to come to court and backed up everything I said. The officer was put on for review or something I found out later. He was a new cop and was trying to make a name for himself so he just wrote everybody a ticket like they all do when they first start. If i do something wrong its one thing, If I don't and I get a ticket for it its another.

The funny thing is that he gave me a ticket for "to fast for the conditions", when I was going the same speed as every other car and even if I stomped on the accelerator when it turned green i couldn't have gotten past 25mph before I got to where I slipped out. I was going about 15 mph and if it was dry you could more than likely go 35 or more and be fine.

So he got really mad and said, you know what, I gonna give you a ticket, I said: ok, why? He looked around my car: Crack on windshield and tint windows. - Ok, what ever.

So I spoke to another policeman, and he confirmed that they write what ever you tell them so if he goes to the court, he uses it against you!

EVERYBODY, BE VERY AWARE OF IT!

By the way, I don't drive less than 90mph on the free way and my 9500xi saves me at least 5 to 10 tickets per month!!!!! (that's right, I"m always seeing those bastards on the freeway trying to ''broadcast'' tickets like they will get anything by doing that!)

Although I have had my ix lockout two different LEO's, I have always had consistent performance from bel and escort products (vector985, RX65,X50, 9500ix). (well , the express units' performance was sometimes spotty.)

My V1 3.864 is the only high-end radar detector I have ever owned that had a problem and didn't tell me.

V1 did a great job in fixing the problem and it performs great now, however.

In my neck of the woods, no LEO would of of dared done what you described. Were I confronted as such, I would of placed the Officer under citizen arrest for criminal trespassing, and called the Sheriff....and believe me, I would of pressed charges, as here, a trespassing conviction is a heavy fine, and 6 months in jail.....

Sorry about the ticket, hit your State Criminal Code books, and do your homework

I couldnt agree more!! x50 worked great for me (rev 5/6.1/6.3) and after trying 4 9500i (with and without ramp up fixes) it doesnt touch V1.
Unless you cant live voice alert , GPS and Truelock you should at least try V1. I was skeptical when I got mine. Arrows are amazingly helpful.
I am not bashing escort but 9500ci is probably an amazing product.
At least try a V1!

He doesn't have to show you, that is correct. However you should read the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Most states model their criminal discovery after the FRCP.

In these rules, a party has an obligation not to destroy electronically stored information (ESI) when they have reason to beleive that an action is to take place.

Clearly, the officer is issuing you a ticket which is a criminal offense (i.e. he should know an action is about to begin). So if he clears that memory before showing you (esp if you ask) you might be able to claim that he destroyed evidence on purpose (spoliation).

Just a thought . . .
