Could you explain the difference between the 9500i and ix Truelock algorithms?

In English. :)
TrueLock in the ix and I work the same way, however Autolock is an additional feature that's based off TrueLock from the I. xi has manual TrueLock and Autolock.
Autolock is an automatic way of locking/unlocking of falses in the same area after being seen ~3 times.
Autolock adds the benafit of unlocking a false that changes, there for decreasing the chance of locking out a real thret just a bit more.
Feel free to add the technical fluff. :)

I asked him what his deal was, he got pissed that I 'should have known' I was being pulled over when he put no lights or siren on. I could care less if he was in my driveway, if he doesn't flag me down, I'm going inside ;) In any event he said I had been speeding, and I pointed to my radar detector and told him he had no proof. So he said, 'oh you want to be a smart a$$ huh? Okay, give me your license and stay right here.' He returns with a ticket for 'careless driving', to which I basically said, 'wow I didn't know it was against the law not to care that an officer is behind you when he doesn't have his lights on.' He said 'yea well, you spun your tires on the gravel into your driveway, that's careless driving and more points then speeding, have a nice day.'
Of course I fought the ticket in court, and got it reduced to a city ordinance, but prolly not the best choice of words I used when dealing with that officer.
Wow, I would have gotten that guy fired. Still not the best choice of words but he was out of line. He lied and he knows it as well as you do. Saying your speeding too was a lie. Then just thinking of something to give you a ticket for, I would have walked right on inside.
The fact is I wouldn't care about the ticket, its the fact that he lied and was trying to pin something on you for some reason or another. I respect LEO's but types like these make me pissed. Thats why I fought a ticket that was complete bs, because the officer wrote me a bogus ticket for reckless driving when it was raining outside and me and several other cars in front of me and behind me were going the same speed and I just happened to slip out because of the terrible tires I had in the rear. I did nothing wrong, and I got the witness to come to court and backed up everything I said. The officer was put on for review or something I found out later. He was a new cop and was trying to make a name for himself so he just wrote everybody a ticket like they all do when they first start. If i do something wrong its one thing, If I don't and I get a ticket for it its another.
The funny thing is that he gave me a ticket for "to fast for the conditions", when I was going the same speed as every other car and even if I stomped on the accelerator when it turned green i couldn't have gotten past 25mph before I got to where I slipped out. I was going about 15 mph and if it was dry you could more than likely go 35 or more and be fine.

If I had made it into my house he could have waited for me until I went to work the next morning! I think he would have had to have gotten a warrant to come in before I would have gone out. No lights, no siren, in my driveway, I think he might be trespassing!
Re: Escort 9500i - did not go off and trooper gave me ticket
DON'T EVER EVER SAY, I KNOW I WAS SPEEDING OR WHATEVER!!!!! They write on the ticket that you assumed that you were speeding.
I guaranteed that he lied to you! I was at 70 miles per hour in a 25mph avenue in Berkeley / CA. The cop came after me like crazy. Pulled me over. So the first think he said, '' DO YOU KNOW HOW FAST WHERE YOU GOING?''' I looked at his eyes and I said, 23 to 25 mph sir.
He got furious, Off course you were not at that speed. I said: I was sir, I was! How do you know that I was speeding? He like: - you were flying when you passed me. I said, so, that means you know I was speeding? It's dark and it's raining, maybe you think that I was seeding, but I was not.
So he got really mad and said, you know what, I gonna give you a ticket, I said: ok, why? He looked around my car: Crack on windshield and tint windows. - Ok, what ever.
So I spoke to another policeman, and he confirmed that they write what ever you tell them so if he goes to the court, he uses it against you!
EVERYBODY, BE VERY AWARE OF IT!
By the way, I don't drive less than 90mph on the free way and my 9500xi saves me at least 5 to 10 tickets per month!!!!! (that's right, I"m always seeing those bastards on the freeway trying to ''broadcast'' tickets like they will get anything by doing that!)
So, that's why I'm sure he lied to you!
Thank you.

yeah dude it has to be one of the 1000 excuses that were made up for you here on how you got a ticket, no freaking way your 9500i is in fault.. are you kidding me? its just impossible :D
every time I see a post about an escort product failing to do its job I see dj with his 1000+ scenarios on what could possibly gone wrong.
Even if you prove to the man that your RD is perfect condition they it will have to be a user error, it cracks me up :)
And for the record, true locks does suck so does the automute and GPS on the 9500i
Sorry thats the way it is, for me at least, I have witnessed it so many times on known busy locations, I am 100% positive on my statements.
Not one, but 2 9500is did the same thing.
The old school x50 escort was a better detector the 9500 series will ever be.
You are just paying for the pretty lights and **** that don't work.
Bottom line..
You want the best windshield RD? get a 400 dollar V1, you want better than that? get a 1600 dollar 9500ci.

Although I have had my ix lockout two different LEO's, I have always had consistent performance from bel and escort products (vector985, RX65,X50, 9500ix). (well , the express units' performance was sometimes spotty.)
My V1 3.864 is the only high-end radar detector I have ever owned that had a problem and didn't tell me.

V1 did a great job in fixing the problem and it performs great now, however.
Re: Escort 9500i - did not go off and trooper gave me ticket
In my neck of the woods, no LEO would of of dared done what you described. Were I confronted as such, I would of placed the Officer under citizen arrest for criminal trespassing, and called the Sheriff....and believe me, I would of pressed charges, as here, a trespassing conviction is a heavy fine, and 6 months in jail.....
Sorry about the ticket, hit your State Criminal Code books, and do your homework

I couldnt agree more!! x50 worked great for me (rev 5/6.1/6.3) and after trying 4 9500i (with and without ramp up fixes) it doesnt touch V1.
Unless you cant live voice alert , GPS and Truelock you should at least try V1. I was skeptical when I got mine. Arrows are amazingly helpful.
I am not bashing escort but 9500ci is probably an amazing product.
At least try a V1!
