You'll know it's fukced up if "Marker Enables" shows "Mod" even though every sub category is listed as "On."
These are the settings I currently use:
Bright: Maximum
Volume: Maximum
Pilot Settings: Speed (Know the GPS is working ;-))
Speed Alert: Off
AutoLearn: On
Meter Options: Expert Meter (I switch back and forth with Spec though)
AutoMute: On
AutoVolume: Off
AutoPower: Off
Units: English
Bands: X off, Ku off, K on, Ka on, Laser on, SWS off
Marker Enables: Default settings (RLC on, Speedcams on, Speedtraps on, Other on).
There's a new fix for the redlight camera on / off thing on escorts website. Also, why do you have X off? Why not just truelock the X band falses?

Edit: Confirmed: Detector Tools 1.4 fixes the problem of the 9500ix not detecting RLC's. "Marker Enables" will still show as mod even if you have all sub cat's "On", but it DOES now alert to the RLC's.
There is no X in SoCal so no reason to have it on.
Re: Setting for Escort 9500xi
These are the settings I always use on my 9500I:
Sensativity: Highway
Bright: Medium/Maximum (night/day)
Volume: Maximum
Pilot Settings: scanning dot. (notifies me of any issues. dot will freeze if somethings wrong);)
Speed Alert: on
Meter Options: Expert Meter, (Multiple frequencies detected notification):D
AutoMute: On
AutoVolume: on
Bands: X on, Ku off, K on, Ka on, Laser on, SWS off
I never turn off any bands, even X (not used in my area). I would be afraid of driving into an area that might decide to use it.
Re: Setting for Escort 9500xi
Damn I thought the 1.4 would fix that.
I gotta check my settings.

Sorry, I thought I read a thread about the new firmware fixing it. My bad. You should keep X on and just truelock the X falses so if a LEO in your area decides to buy an X band gun you'll be prepared.

You keep your POP off though, right?

I haven't seen X band in SoCal in at least 10 years, but there is no law that keeps them from using it, so I keep it on. There's no reason not to with Truelock. It's still just as silent.

Yes, POP is off. but sometimes i play around with it.
Re: Setting for Escort 9500xi
I also have my X off. Haven't even seen K being used in Orlando in years. I know there's no reason turning it off when you have TrueLock, but since I am constantly traveling to different areas, the falsing is just really annoying.

If your constantly traveling different areas, that's even MORE reason to have X on!

So I have 1.4 and have not saved any new updates to it because I'm waiting on my volt adapter to come in...So are you saying do not save any new updates to this and try transferring those to the unit. How do I get these saved to the unit without screwing anything up? Also I love the way some of you guys posted your exact settings that is what I was looking for when I started this thread. This can help newbies like me learn a little quicker!;)
