Small town speeder.

I proved my theory correct today. Came over a hill that was followed by a 4-way intersection and bam! a sheriff comes out of nowhere at 3 o' clock. I'm 15 over the psl. He pulls right behind me, but luckily there's a pretty steep hill after. So I just let off and let the car roll back down to the psl. He never turned his lights on or looked like he had any idea I was speeding. That gives me some relief. And the roads I am talking about are technically 'highways' but the other guy is right. It goes through a residential area. But I am convinced as long as the x50 stays alive it will be quite sufficient..

I'm not trying to be a smart-aleck - what was your theory? Earlier in the thread you mentioned that the sheriff runs lidar - is that what you're referring to? If so, this does show one drawback of lidar for the LEO - you can't just spot someone, push a button, confirm their speed, and pull them over...

I did not confirm what was being used on that encounter as I was naked (detectorless) because we were on a family trip and I wasn't driving. I don't think it was laser. Our sheriffs spend their money on things other than laser guns. They don't really have a lot of people that drive fast down here. So they move their budget over to pleasing the county by paving bumpy roads or building a million dollar courthouse annex in the city next to the courthouse so they can charge you more for your fines to adjust to the 'cost of expenses'. That's a little overdone.
