Buying a cord from Escort when living in Canada

The phone cable does work. I believe red is the ground and green is the hot, which is the reverse of what you'd think it to be. It is the same polarity as a V1, so you could use the V1, X50, RX65 with the same wire. So just find the polarity for one of those.

Depends which end of the wire you're dealing with. Keep in mind that on a standard phone cord, the order of the wires is swapped from one end to the other. If you look at the original cord that came with the RX65, the Red is the hot and the green is the ground.

They won't ship to Canada.

Really? Wow. Maybe try Bel, the hardwire cables are identical. My RX65 says Made in Canada on it, so maybe you'll have better luck there. If not, Radar Roy shipped my hardwire kit to Canada no problem.

Well... i bought a black phone cord and wired it in. works great, thanks for all the help guys. On a side note i have e-mailed escort twice on this matter and i never got 1 reply. So far their customer service sucks!

Make sure to pop an inline fuse on that bad boy, or wire it to the fuse box. I recall my direct wire kit using a 250V 2A fuse. Just so fyi =).

If you live close or around their Mississauga mfg plant, it's easy to drop by and ask them to give you the cord or any other small accessory, cash only :)
