The technology is the problem - it's immature.

But honestly, even without AutoLearn - for example, if the OP had used manual TrueLock in those areas, for the same signals, I think that the fact that there were pre-existing lock-outs in that area would still have exposed him to a large risk, in this instance/circumstance.

I basically agree, but i really don't think AutoLearn locked it out even though I have no faith in AutoLearn for now. It requires 3 passes of the same frequency no matter what, so unless he passed that same LEO/frequency 3 different times it didn't lock it out. It was locked out from the pre existing locked out frequency's. Same problem as with manually locking out.

It really is that simple, it was a High Risk area so he ether should of not locked that area out or he shouldn't of been speeding there. Simple to me but i am crazy.

In the end AutoLearn shouldn't be used until I, or someone figures it out.

This is exactly what I used my IX for, red light and speed camera locator, I got rid of it and got me a cheetah mirror and I couldnt be more happier.

after reading the post, I turned my v1 k-band back on to run with my 9500ci. My v1 went crazy on k band and the 9500ci gave me a few chirp than went silent with the gps signal spinning. Sure enough, a cop just chilling at a red light next to cvs with constant on. This was at an intersection I drive by alot. I'm looking to reset my auto learn and manually lock out. Don't know how much it will help but I got my v1 to test.

Sell it get a v1

I would seriously call into question a cop operating an older K band radar gun very close by several K band door openers -- especially since the officer's radar gun was being locked out since its frequency obviously is virtually exactly the same as one or more of the CVS door openers.

I wasn't going to make a new thread but I encountered my 1st LEO lockout today. So I'm on the interstate getting ready to exit when my 9500ix started alerting to weak K-band (24.150 on the dot). While I'm taking the on ramp I immediately spot him crossing over the highway overpass, he then turned off his radar. Well shorty after I exit on the main road I pulled up at a red light and notice him 2 cars behind me in an adjacent lane. I look down and notice the spinning icon. I unlock it and boom. The ix alerts to K at 24.150. The cop was inside my lockout radius running K band radar. I am un-nerved now.

I love my 9500ix and am going to let this one lockout slide but I am going make a big deal if this happens again anytime soon. Seems like everyone is starting to have 9500 problems all at once.

I remember watching the video Escort put out comparing the 9500 to other RDs which just happened to be a V1, what a bunch of garbage...the guy reminded me of a used car sales men...thats when i decided not to buy one.
