Highly thinking about pawning my 9500CI and go with a V1+remote display+V1 remote audo+chetah mirror+LI. I think i can get $800-1,000 for my 9500CI. I mainly got the 9500CI for the stealth install with the whole all in 1 package.
This sounds like smartmute to me.
You don't get spinning icon with smartmute, though?
Re: escort 9500ix truelock got me a ticket
The GPS was spinning while my V1 went off. As i was driving, i double tapped the 9500CI mute button and it went off K-band full blast.

What do you mean was that the best i can do ? Tickets have personal information on them. And I'm not willing to share that with the world. You see it is a speeding ticket 50 in a 35 just like I said in my form. Do you work for escort or somthing?
sorry about your ticket, have you posted your youtube video yet???
Re: escort 9500ix truelock got me a ticket
wth did you not read CJR238's faq in your Escort manual and Escort's disclamer?
Re: escort 9500ix truelock got me a ticket
This is one of the reasons I run my V1 with my 9500ci.

The problem in this particular scenario is that the end-user had no choice - to me, it sounds like the detector chose to pursue its own lock-out, via AutoLearn, despite the fact that it was in a "High Risk" location.
Unfortunately, the detector itself has no way of knowing that it's in a "High Risk" location.
The technology is the problem - it's immature.
But honestly, even without AutoLearn - for example, if the OP had used manual TrueLock in those areas, for the same signals, I think that the fact that there were pre-existing lock-outs in that area would still have exposed him to a large risk, in this instance/circumstance.
good points

So i got all my papper work for the officer and i was sitting their and then i noticed my gps icon spinning. It was still locking out this radar even know i wasnt in a known lockout area. So i turned the gps off and unplugged my ix and plugged it back in. Now it goes crazy alerting me k band with the leo sitting behind me writing me my ticket...
Just doesn't sound right to me. And it's not even 4/1 :bs2:
I agree. I've never heard a LEO refer to radar as C/O or I/O, like we do. We still have not seen a copy of the ticket. Also, the 9500ix should have alerted the second
blackbeltrk turned off his GPS. He shouldn't have had to power cycle his 9500ix, unless the reason it wasn't alerting was smartmute and not TrueLock. The other thing I find wierd is that
blackbeltrk's second post ever is about TrueLock getting him a ticket. That just seems odd.
You just don't wanty to believe that a person got a ticket DJ....it was bound to happen
Looks like I will not be using a 9500xi or 9500ci as my primary detector in the near future

Nah, if it happened, then it happened. We all knew it could happen. I just want all the facts is all, to make sure it's legit.

lol, i wish i could get Escort to just to at least add in the manual instead of my whole faq:
"When using TrueLock & AutoLearn treat the lock out area as a muted area and proceed with caution"
I have had many conversations with some of Escort's higher ups, and they seem to have a complete understanding of the risks using TrueLock. But i feel they think the risks are small enough for the average user that its negligible in the end.
I just think its funny that some people think TrueLock is some magical be all end all, but they are members here and don't bother to read my sticky faq.
