Very disappointed with the 9500ix. Hopefully the Redline will have better response time.
If the fastest response time is what you want I think V1 is for you, read some of the threads on here about Redline having the same problems with response time as all Escorts seem to have. In my 4 encounters with KA band since testing the V1 and 9500ix the V1 alerted 4-5 sec earlier one time (both alerted way out and in enough time), equal 2 times (no warning what so ever until I was right on top of the cop, using IO I think) and the 9500 alerted 1 second earlier one time.
You may be right.. I've always tried to go with Escort but maybe it's time to convert? I'm just not too fond of a TON of false alarms (such as picking up other radar detectors) which I know won't happen with the Redline but does happen with the V1. And I have heard that pairing it with the c100 can be very buggy.. Bah I guess I'll just have to wait for more Redline reviews.
Thanks for the suggestions
Redline will false more than any other Belscort, if false suppression and sensitivity are important the 9500 series is the only choice. Raw sensitivity but lots of falsing V1 or RedLine.
You must not do much Hwy driving???
The V1 or Redline are Hwy machines not made for puttering around town, to me the Hwy driving is where you test the Rd not back and forth around the CVS to test truelock...just my 2 cents.....
I agree with you, if you are only using it for the hwy with x band off, V1 is excellent, 9500ix very good. In town is the other way around. Turning xband on and off with the V1 is a pain (need directions in car w/you), like how 9500ix has it as an easy option.
And yes, if you have 900 bucks both would be great :)

I do about the same amount of highway driving as i do local so its about 12k a year each, but your point is very true.
However the 9500 series is for both city and highway. I prefer to have a great performer in both categories than one that totally rocks in only one category. :)
Or of course the ultimate would be to have one for highway and a 2nd for around town. ;)
yes this is true, you need at least two (2) RDs to get the job done these days. My Redline should be shipping soon...and then there will be three (3) in the corral.
:D:):p

I have played with the V1 in every setting..big L & little L....set all the K band filters back and forth...now just run the A mode and never look back, I have to tell ya its a great RD. The STI driver is pretty sweet as well, but the arrows are so helpful for night time driving. Most of my miles are Hwy so dont get alot of false alarms anyway.
