LOL, wasn't your 9500ix broken where it wasn't picking up Ka or something? I seem to remember you sending it in. It's still broken if your S7 is giving similar range on 34.7, because the 9500ix smokes the X50 S7 on that freq. You should send it in again.
I don't encounter the other Ka freqs much so I won't comment on those, K is similar and I don't use X. Off Axis, yes the X50 is much better.

They fixed my ix "good as new" and it's still working like the day I got it.

That means that they repaired your 9500ix's antenna.
On a side note, about every other post you make is about how much the 9500ix sucks. Now, it's obvious that you had a bad experience with the 9500ix. No problem, but you don't have to run around taking your anger about this on the rest of us. I want you to realize that the performance you seemed to have witnessed from the 9500ix is not the norm. The 9500ix should perform extremely close to that of the S7 X50. The main difference between these two are features, not performance. That being said, the S7 X50 is an excellent performer, even by today's standards. I haven't seen a single windshield mounted RD that beats it by much and I've tested basically all of them.

I agree, but i have never encountered what everyone is calling an "off axis encounter" where I didn’t have enough warning before the LEO could get my actual speed. :confused:
Always just enough warning of real threats but it does ignore way off axis falses.

Off axis to me is 40+ degrees off axis from the radar gun itself, and we all know that angle would greatly affect the accuracy of a LEO's radar. So in the end i don’t see how it makes a difference, always saves me.

X2. I think you just got a bad unit. If it is still not working properly, I would ask for a replacement. My ix is extremely strong on KA. I may have lucked out and have a juiced unit that was due to go to a reviewer :D but I cannot say my S7 has the same range. K band it (S7) is better but not on KA.
If it is still under the trial period send it back and get a Redline or V1. That might be a better option for you!:thumb2:

I already own a V1. My ix is great when the radar is in front of me. I got 2.6 miles Ka not to long ago, and over the hill detection is great too.
If a LEO is waiting around a curve, however, the ix gets "surprised" often.

"surprised" in audible reaction/ramp up, or "surprised" as in you see the LEO just as it alerts?
For me it acts "surprised" in audible ramp up but i don't see the LEO till i round the bend. My 8500 S7 alerts at about the same time but ramp up is more linear.
