Default Are the Redline glitches fixed for certain now?

When the Redline first came out, there was much discussion on the I/O glitch that would sometimes cause it to not alert. But I haven't come across any discussion confirming that it has been fixed in newer Redlines, and/or that Escort has a firmware update that will fix the issue if I send mine in.

I'd like to get mine updated if there truly is a fix... anyone care to chime in?

I would like to see someone retest the redline after the so called fix.

My Redline was manufactured the 43rd week (October 18-24) of 2009, and does not seem to have any of the glitches as described in earlier posts and videos.

Hopefully GOL will test one soon! I think that's the only way to know for sure, I have not seen any of the early problems with mine either, but the only way to know for sure is real testing.

I have yet to see any official notification of a hardware or firmware upgrade for the Redline, nor have I seen any posts from anyone sending a Redline in and getting the glitches fixed. They probably want to thoroughly test the fix before it is released.

A week or two after I got my Redline, I had a close-range encounter with an on-coming LEO running C/O Ka where my RL stopped alerting briefly, and then resumed. It was obvious enough that I was like, WTF????

A day or two later cbr and ElVato posted their videos, and it looked like the same issue to me.

About a month after I got the RL, it started displaying "Servece Required" so I returned it to Escort. When I got it back 4-5 days later, the paperwork indicated that they had replaced the PCB. In the 2-1/2 months since getting it back, it has never dropped a signal again, and performance has been very, very consistent.

Interesting. Maybe this issue has been a hardware problem all along.

You won't see that based on my experiences. Escort will divulge that information when there is no other choice.

My unit was manufactured mid-Oct and I've not seen any issues with dropped signals.
