    Default 9500ci without shifters

I know this has been discussed in the past but I am trying one last time to see if there is any possible solution to operate the 9500ci without the laser shifters connected and not get an error message. In my BMW I have the shifters connected but mounted in the engine bay. I am going to be installing a second 9500ci and LI in an Audi soon. I do not want 4 heads on the front of my car and also do not want to risk the jammers interferring with one another so is my only option to hide the shifters again?

They need to be connected for the 9500 to function properly.

Hiding is going to be your only option there.

They can be placed into "receive only" mode through the ci's programming.

It still functions properly...the radar part that is. It'll just show an error message like "LSR ERR" and "R LSR ERR" every time you go through start-up. Kinda similar to the beeps you get when you modify factory settings.

Ok I was under the impression the error message stayed on permanently, until you re attached the sensors.

I run mine without the sensors. You get 3 extra beeps at startup and then it goes to whatever mode you have it set to.

Just don't hook up the sensors and you will be fine. I have laser set to off also.

Or if you don't want the laser shifters you can just opt for an STI-R if you can find one for a good price.
