I never travel 271, I'm usually on 77 and 480 (I'm in Broadview Hts). 77 is controlled by Independence and 480 is all Highway Patrol...It was just a stupid mistake of going that fast at night (especially at 2am).

And yes, It's really cheap compared to the speed I was traveling (and no mandated court).

First lidar encounter was from a sheriff's vehicle on US-67N in relatively light traffic near Festus, then US-61N somewhere around Troy, and then just west of St Louis. X-band was at Greenville and had the camera running for that one.

C/O X-Band looks like you get a heck of a lot of range on it. That must be even easier to detect than K band, which any of the Belscorts & V1 handle well.

It is Ka and laser that are a pain to detect.

Watch Independence as I've been lasered from a forward facing car. He must be using his mirror. OSP might have QT me while on 71. If your suppressing K-band for the speed sensors you'll never know you've been hit with K.

Independence is very tricky. I saw a cop before put his trunk up (to cover the lights) and he sat in the trunk shooting laser.

OSP (at least in-between Dayton and Cleveland) are using X-Band Q/T. And yes, those speed sensors suck.

Fantastic! From what I here the Rev 5 is the ultimatum of x50's. I'm really glad that I was lucky enough to snag one. How do you like yours?

I will tell you that I prefer my S7 over the M4. I had the opportunity, when the M4 X-50 came out, to trade a friend for two days (my S7 for his M4). The only main difference I noticed in 150 mi of highway driving was that the M4 had ZERO ramp-up w/ C/O. It was always pretty near a full alert from the beginning of an alert. With my S7 (while encountering C/O) it always has had what I would consider ideal ramp-up. When Escort introduced the M4, and the M3 for that matter, they might as well have removed their "strength meter" as a feature, because it simply just doesn't work. Escort touts the 8500 series as "The World's Best" radar detector ever made. That held true w/ the S7 platform. OK, I know that their M3's have better range, but where is your ramp-up???
