Default Is Mt Escort Red Line Dead?

OK so it was always a little chatty, K alerts, occasional Ka.

Now I get almost nothing for days, weeks... something seems a miss.

I had it all set with Ka Seg 2/5/8 and K on, Laser off.
Went from Fast to Std BOOT and get a K 24.150 alert during boot?
    Is that normal?

Went to factory setting and got an X alert that seemed to latch, lock up.
Had to power down and up to clear the X alert.

Really don't want to spend $100 to send it to Escort...
It is actually pretty new but I bought it used.

You need to be careful where you buy stuff used, there are tons of Redlines being brought in from China that are knock offs. Just go to AliBaba and search

It was bought from you, RadarBuster.com, brand new in May 2015... so not sure if you say are selling used stuff, but the build date was 16th week of 2015. It is clearly a flaw in this unit.... Cheers

Roy, got it. You don't sell used. I did not say you did. I meant I used it, that's all. I revised my post. Sorry if I confused you. My mistake. I bought NEW from you, receipt from Radarbuster.com, BRAND NEW... OK

BTW, Thanks for the warning on used radar detectors. Be careful. Got it. My FIRST Escort, a 9500ix, I bought used... in new condition, all the retail package, worked perfect almost 4 years until ripped off. I would agree, when buying used be careful, but used can represent a great value and bargain over new. I would only buy used if it had all the package, paperwork and receipt (aka not stolen).

Try a factory reset on the unit and see if that helps.

Thanks. I got the unit back, note says replaced front board... working great I think.

HOW DO YOU FACTORY RESET? You mean set back to factory settings? I did that, but is there another kind of re-set.

    Cheers
