I think you might have fix your radar detector or maybe redline have this problems? Anyway it is little outdated so you should buy a new one. Maybe escort max 360? It is little expensive but there haven't been a problem in this model. Also this is the best selling model with a great number of happy customers. I would recommend you this blog Escort Radar Reviews. See if it helps.

I have found that simply putting even an older x50 or redline in Auto mode really does help cut down on the blindside sensitivity. Yet still maintaining the ability to capture real live warnings of legit K band police radar. This is my personal reccomendation as well as turning on TSR inside your detectors menu's this really helps cut down on the annoyance in some older escort detectors.

    Alpine-
That is sage advice. I saw a review on one of my detectors the DFR5 suggesting running it in city mode on the highway to essentially do the exact same thing. Turns out it's true as you enter the outer and inner belts around cities. I run the DFR6 the same way. It seems the more detector's improve the more sensitive they are to falsies.

By looking over your list of detectors, I'd have to say it's a fun as hell hobby, leading to professional reviewing of wares? Impressive to say the least!

    Thanks for the advice.

    Happy trails.
