Escort IX and ZR4 Shifter

I have an escort iX and I just bought a ZR4 setup that is missing the front Shifters.

I haven't seen a definitive answer about this and I have searched the forum.

Can I use the ZR3 front shifters with the ZR4 Interface and my Escort IX?
Is the firmware able to be updated with Shifter Tools?

I see you've asked twice. I have no faith in lidar scrambling. From the time an officer hits the guns trigger until he receives the reflection is >1/3 of a second at 6000 ft. Any ticket you get in lidar must be contested in court in order to challenge the officers "qualified training" of the device he's using. Find out the lidar gun used, pull up the manual, have an attorney or yourself ask the officer about 10 or so difficult or impossible to answer user manual questions. Just about every radar and lidar gun manual is 50+ pages long and virtually impossible to memorize.
