Its could be because there are a pick up trucks out here and asking a female to parallel to park a pick up truck is one tall order. As a matter of fact, I remember seeing a woman trying to parallel park her Landcrusier. She backed into a car in a slot and drove off when she figured out she couldn't fit.:D:rolleyes: Rumor has it in CA you all drive smaller more efficient vehicles.

Really I never see parallel parking in places where I drive. I rarely go to downtown Atlanta but I don't think there is a lot of parking available on the street.

In Miami I parallel park every week. It's a lot cheaper to parallel park than to park in a parking lot, you can often park closer to where you need to go, and you are far less likely to get door dings from parallel parking.

However the LI parking sensor is useless for parallel parking because it just doesn't have enough sensitivity, and it has zero corner protection.
