Default Correct LI Install in BMW Grille

I found this LI install photo on E46 fanatics forum. Is this the recommended way to install in the front of a BMW (as opposed to below the grille)?

Nope. Way too close together. Horizontal is the recommended way. Cut the grille or get an HP.

Got it -- cut it to install horizontally. Is vertical ineffective with LI but effective with LI HP?

He has since moved the front heads to here:

That's great info thanks! I may take the photo to the original installer and have the LIs moved accordingly. Stealth Stalker is still questioning what kind of man buys a BMW and LIs yet doesn't cut the grill...

Of course, the best placement is just above the bumper, just below the headlights. But nobody wants to do that either, so it's hard to sympathise with them.

This will not be an issue when Laser Tamer is in the market.

Could someone upload the picture to imageshack or something please? I am working on getting my 15 posts.

I am definitely installing my fronts in the kidney grill, just haven't decided how yet. I have a couple ideas but am trying to look through them all.
