Not sure if I should put this in the "mounting/installation" forum or here - it's installed, so I don't really need advice at this point (although I may change it all once I find someone to help me test).
Original thread was here.
Final install (for now) - attached using the LI brackets and screws. Used the black self-tapping screws on the longer portion of the LI brackets, with the long section going back into the grille / toward the engine. I attached the head to the bracket first, pushed it up against the grille and got a decent bend on the brackets, then screwed the brackets down to the grille slat. Once I got the bracket attached, I leveled the heads left-right using the included bubble as well as some of my own. I then tightened the heads to the bracket fully, then bent the bracket further to get a front-rear level with the ground.
The only plane where I had to eyeball was across the front of the car, i.e. the "front-rear stickout" direction. Part of the grille is flat across the front and I used that as best I could, along with guide lines, and I think the heads are as straight/flat across the front as I can get, but only testing will show. I'm worried that I'm going to have issues because the heads may be too HIGH on the car. They're right by the lights, but if LEOs are targeting center-mass, they are at least 12 inches away from the middle of the grille, possibly more. Plus, they are set back from the very tip of the car due to the rake of the grille. Should I be worried about this?
I need someone in NE Ohio to help me test... I'll buy beer / coffee / lunch.
