Tomorrow is the big day for DS will they deliver?

As we all know by now the 18May2006 is a big day for the DS team. They are supposed to ship out the Defender 2. Will they do it? Or will we hear another story of software troubles?

Ahh I think DS said it is the 22nd for shipping.
The 18th is when DS gets them in from the factory.

I care only in the case of developing a sense of whether they (as a company) are good at meeting dates and promises or not. I'm not sure they set the 18th as the date, but what ever date they said it would ship.

I think most of the folks here aren't the typical consumer. We are interested in being the first to get something new, and we are also the kind of folks who'd continue a vendor relationship for upgrades and support. If a company says somethings going to happen, and you plan accordingly, it's important.

Other companies don't talk about future stuff, and you find out about things when and only when they are ready. You don't make plans and they don't fall short on meeting dates communicated to customers (because there are none).
