agreed...it it works..then good but if you pay for a new product you would expect it to be scratch free....Flyboy had a simalar problem...

If i was mounting in a spot that conceals it i wouldnt care so much...but at least get some money back from the reseller for a damaged product ;)

I had the samething with mine. I noticed the cardboard made the scratches in the head. If they put foam or plastic on them it would fix the problem.
I also agree.. 10% looks.. 90% performance..
No ones sees the box or sides of the head.. so.. who cares.

X2. As long as the size is small enough to fit in the grille, minor scratches won't bother me. I hide the control box anyway.

To be honest I didn't really pay attention to the scratches. The cases are made of magnesium I think so they show every little finger print etc. I just ran my finger over them and they appear to be only surface and nothing deep or grooved which makes me think it was from the cardboard shipping box. But to be honest once they are mounted on my car you'll never see any part of it again so I could are less :)

That scratch must of occurred when the unit was pryed open to "Juice It"............ :roll:

I also wouldn't really care about minor scuff marks on the case, however i WOULD be very angry and concerned if there were marks on the LENS itself, because scratches and scuffs on the lens WILL reduce the performance of the unit.

What is the lens made of? Is it plastic / polycarbonate, glass, something else? Perhaps you could try those "plastic polish" ones to smooth it out?

Put in a google search, "xxx GBP in CAD" or "xxx GBP in USD" works great :)

Smaart , you mean the exchange rate ....

I meant the duty/customs rates for canadian customs / us customs for a x product from Uk , the rate changes according to the description of goods , with a ''good'' description one could save few $...
