That's strange - why would the old heads not be compatible?
If that's the case, what about
samq45's setup?
REF:
http://www.radardetector.net/forums/...ol-box-ts.html - is that also, then, an invalid setup, because he still has his old heads?

It also seems that there is an even newer LPP box that came out sometime last week; so my version didn't seem to be on the market for more than a few weeks if it was ever even released on a large scale. To be honest I really have no clue what is going on over at LPP, all I know is that my jammers don't work and I will be replacing them ASAP. If only I had more time-AND MONEY!
^ to both the new box "released last week," as well as to say WTF in general.
I'm
starting to get fed-up with LPP.
Most of us ahould be fully fed up with them by now. Different version heads and control boxes with little to no support for new threats.
At least there should be a drop dead date when we all should be taken care of, but so far nothing. No cummunication etc. I do not blame the reps, but If I were them I would be screaming (or looking to sell something else).
My heads seem to work fine with the three control boxes I have (ALG8, LPP Pre Ts and the supposed TS enabled box) - except I have one bad head Alex has agreed to replace. I have 4 heads and three of them work ok and the last has the triple beep issue on both LPP contol boxes.
The only testing I have completed is with my LA and with an Ultralyte I have access too. The supposed TS enabled box Seems to jam fine with those two guns.
The control box has the same settings as the 100PPS control box.
I will have to PM somone to rent a TS to see if it does alert or install something I no longer have to worry about. I do not have a lot of time for this and need something there are no questions over. If my install was not such a pain in the butt to re-do - I would switch quickly and never look back.
There are a few other members that have PMed me here to say they have or have been promised a TS enabled box. Please chime in if you have gotten one and especially if you have tested it.
Re: Things are falling apart!
^ Thanks for that comprehensive answer. :)
Indeed, I also have one bad head (out of 3), and go.mouse had promised to exchange. I elected to simply wait until the TS upgrade was realized, to save him the trouble of separate shipping. :)

^ That's my understanding as well - that the 1st gen was the residual stock out of Croatia, and that it was distinguished by thinner external wiring.
One of my heads still is from this batch.
The second-generation head, to the best of my knowledge, was a simple upgrade of the wiring/stress-relief, to enhance weathersealing, but offers no technical differences.
But that's what I understand - maybe I'm wrong?
samq45, just to further clarify, your heads...when do they date to?

OK, I hate cross-posts, but I really think that this is very important for those among us who may still rely on the LPP as primary protection, and who also face TruSpeed in their area.
Something just doesn't add-up. :(
-------
OK, the plot thickens.....
As anyone who knows LPPs should know, cyberblob is one of the most authoritative voices, when it comes to this particular device.
He's also involved in the video of the LPP TS-Beta variant, which we've all seen. Unlike the rest of us (for the time being), he's got actual first-hand experience with a LPP that properly jams the US/NA version of the TruSpeed.
Here's what he said on the LPP Support Forums, after I posted a question about the fact that your LPP rep, carter840, said that your heads were not compatible with your current control-box:

They both work great at detecting and jamming the TS.
Emphasis added.
carter840, something about your situation just doesn't make sense.
Your setup and that of samq45's NEED to be tested, ASAP, if you will face TS in your area.
Things just aren't adding up.

I have 2 newer heads, 1 Refurbed head and 1 Antilaser head.
All but one works (bad newer LPP head with triple beep) - With both LPP control boxes.
I am interested to seewhat Dave is telling Carter840 about the head revisions.
Not sure why I bother to worry about this any longer. There are timed jammers out there now where I do not have to deal with this and I have to take my car apart to get painted, so I think it is time to move on.
Between the US rep saying he sent me a TS and Alex saying that he can not provide any assurance and no word from the UK this is a soap opera I would rather leave to those with more free time than me.
Re: Things are falling apart!
^ Indeed. The information split does not give one much confidence, if at all.
The problem, for me (and for many others here) is that I (we) inherently trust go.mouse, and that, sadly, what he has had to say - and what he continues to say - is not the kind of optimistic stuff that we want to hear, that we *do* hear from Dave/LPP_Rep/DMI-Sport/LPP-USA...but whom, sadly, we've now been burned by so many times that we no longer trust, without verifiable support.
Thank you, samq45, for your confirmation. It again reaffirms my faith in go.mouse, and again, sadly, takes away from Dave/LPP_Rep/DMI-Sport/LPP-USA (i.e. [1] if there's a problem with old heads not being compatible with the new TS box, then why didn't he tell *YOU* about it, before? [2] if there's a problem with the compatibility, why does your control-box not register the fault, as, supposedly, the incompatibility has elicited, of carter840's setup? [3] if there's a compatiblity problem that was made known by carter840's example, why did the vendor fail to contact you about this problem, proactively, as we've seen, for example, Cliff has done, in tracing down LI users who even mention/hint at problems, here?).
Indeed, none of this gives me any confidence in LPP. :(
As I've said on the KMPH-Canada/LPP-Canada LPP Support Forums:
Take a good look, LPP-UK/KMPH-UK, at the number of earnest, active, community-members - true hobbyists and enthusiasts - you've either alienated or outright have lost to your competitors by this TruSpeed fiasco.
This is not smart business, and it will, in my most humble opinion, cost you much more than just one product revision (i.e. not that you've *FINALLY* come forward with a TruSpeed fix, that won't be enough, as TruSpeed is already yesterday's news, with other manufacturers having responded to this concern well over a year ago - instead, you'll have to be the literal "Johnny on the spot" with the NEXT threat, in order to make-good your reputation) to prove yourself worthy of trust again.:(
