Question Can a county or city outlaw jammers irrespective of state laws?

I live in a state where, as far as the state is concerned, jammers are not illegal. But has anyone ever heard of a local government in the US outlawing jammers? This is assuming they see you have one.

Not that I heard of. They might come up with something absurd like "interfering with govt device or obstrution." But i have not heard of any locals per se.

I've never heard of it but yes, they could outlaw them. If you were cited for it you may have a way of getting around it if they don't publish it on signage or anywhere the public could easily see the law...but of course, ignorance to laws isn't normally a defense.

Some states can prohibit municipalities from passing or enforcing certain laws but I don't think that would be one of them.
