Default Out of Level by 1.59 Degrees - WWYD?

While doing my 9500ci installation I noticed that the "nose" of my C6 is shaped somewhat like a beak: the bottom surface slopes downward from the sides in a very slight V shape, and the front surface is curved outward. I took a few measurements, dusted off my high school trigonometry, and calculated that the slope of the nose is ~1.59 degrees. Thus, if I just slap the heads to the underside of the nose using mounting tape they will be tilted by ~1.59 degrees.

I know the Escort spec is +/- 2.5 degrees, and ISTR that Radar Roy did some testing of ZR4s and determined that an even narrower range was optimal. What Would You Do?

I think there're shims you can buy. You should be able to find them at a Home Depot or Lowe's. They should have it under the hardware aisle.

Alternatively, you could always do a DIY with these....

Edit: These're more expensive, but are made of Aluminum. http://www.thefind.com/cars/info-4-degree-shims

I don't know if I could bear the thought of installing toilet parts on my car.

Wouldn't these just exacerbate the problem? If the heads start out tilted 1.59 degrees CCW, and these add a 4 degree CW tilt, the next result is a 2.41 degree CW tilt, right? Or is the amount of tilt adjustable somehow?

Edit: I changed the search terms and found some 2 degree shims. If I can find some the right size this might be just the ticket - thanks for the idea!

OK, I went to Home Despot and found some plastic shims. Here's what it looks like without the shim:

And here's what it looks like with the shim in place:

Now is it close enough? LOL!!!

    Nope!

The angle on the toilet shims is too steep. These are cabinet shims, similar to the standard wooden ones only they're made of plastic. Unfortunately, I can't find the ones I bought on the Home Despot web page, but here they are on Amazon.
