best airbrush kit, to use w/ veil, for the money

I have some license plate covers I want to spray w/ veil .

Can anyone recommend an airbrush kit that they've used and works well w/ veil?

I see the 2 types are pretty much:

1. disposable air can type
2. air compressor type (more expensive)

I went to Hobby Lobby last night and the prices on these were just stupid.

I see the same kits are much cheaper online.

what airbrush kit did you use?

also, if applying to a plate cover - and only one side can be sprayed (due to the cover becoming too dark to read), which side should be sprayed?

I disagree. Visibility should be no different inside/outside but outside will last longer as it won't be exposed to the elements.

I have no experience with spray kits but I wouldn't spend much considering the area you're covering is so small. Else, just take your time and use the supplied brushes. I used them on my headlights and they turned out great, no running, everything was even. The key is just to take your time, be patient, and don't go crazy with the coatings. I did one coating, let it dry and applied a 2nd an hour later but 2 is plenty...

I guess I should rephrase, if you want the best protection/performance from your veil then you should coat the outside of the cover.
