Re: Radar Bands by Town - updated 8/6/09
Surprise, AZ
On December 17 of this year, on my V1, two separate Surprise PD
units, evidently offering some personal one on one road side counseling and penmanship demonstration, that where giving off "K" band signals. Observed it on the first one, thought it was a fluke, and then a mile or so down the same road (Grand Avenue) right before it changes to the town of El Mirage there was another giving off the same strength "K" band beep.
Elsewhere, on 1-10 west of Phoenix, and I-8 west of Gila Bend, DPS is playing the Ka band "on-off" game of hide and seek, now you see it, now you don't.
Pay attention to your RD's boys and girls! :D
