If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!
If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

I'm not sure the point of this thread. It seems that any known gun may pop up anywhere. Even in Bumfuk, Iowa.
Well, some guns are more common in some areas than others. One department may have all PL3s while another has all Ultralyte LRs. Then there are those who have mostly this and some of that, or maybe different troops of a state police force have different guns.
For example, NHSP has mostly PL3s, and these are the only guns I've come across used by NHSP in my travels. But a friend of mine who travels 101 east to 95 has seen them with an Ultralyte a couple times.

Now add Montana to the list. Not sure what device he was using but it was blue and three "barrels" on the gun. You can tell he had a new toy for the Mt. Highway Patrol. All three officers were together. One to his right one(west bound) and one to his left(east bound). Bel G65 lit up for two or three seconds but was lucky, he seemed to be struggling with the new device.
Here in Florida the LEOs use almost every Laser gun you can think of. This is the list of all approved Laser Guns for the Florida Highway Patrol. I got this list from the official FHP website (15B-2.013 Approved Speed Measuring Devices). Who knows if all of these guns are active on the road today but any type of laser information can help.
