Speed Radar Gun Machines to catch speeding vehicles

HUBLI: Hubli-Dharwad Police Commissioner Narayan Nadamani has instructed heads of all the three mobile police stations, ACP Traffic Hubli-Dharwad, and DCP (Crime and Traffic), to take stringent action against vehicles, which violate speed limits while plying between Hubli-Dharwad.

They have been instructed to bookcases under the Motor Vehicle Act against North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation and private bus drivers, with the help of Speed Radar Gun Machines. Such machines will be in operation at SDM Medical college, ISCON temple and APMC.

He said the department had collected Rs 25,800 in the form of fine imposed on the traffic violators on Thursday and Friday.

On Friday, Hanagi, ACP Traffic Hubli-Dharwad, conducted a training camp for NWKRTC drivers and conductors, in the light of increasing mishaps between Hubli-Dharwad.

He instructed the 250-strong drivers and conductors to strictly follow traffic norms to avoid the same. Sangappa, NWKRTC, Divisional Commissioner and Vijaykumar, Manager, Hubli-Dharwad NWKRTC depot, were present.
