If you buy a car here and are staying for more than 10, 20 or 30 days depending on the state, you have to register it in the states, etc.. etc.. You can get a driver license as long as you are here LEGALLY. Illegal aliens are not going to be able to show legal presence documentation because they didn't come in at port of entries, they hopped fences, therefore all they got is mexican ID cards, that doesn't show legal presence and they can't get a driver license with them, regardless of weather or not they have an ssn is not the issue, it's weather they can prove they are legally here.
You mean you get to US ILLEGALLY, no big deal hide yourself for 30+ days and immediately you will become a LEGAL resident of that state????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????
Respectfully, where do you get these facts from, not even for the UN building in NYC you cannot barge inside and because that's an international body and you are a citizen of Papua-New Guinea they must provide you with accommodations and a job inside the building, they will call the cops right away and you'll get arrested immediately!!!
Dude what in the hell are you talking about, are you even READING what I'm writing? If you enter the US *LEGALLY*
NOT ILLEGALLY, and you stay(RESIDE) in a state for more than 30 days, you have to get a driver license in that state. If you are from canada and you have been here LEGALLY again
NOT ILLEGALLY, you have to get a driver license within 30 days, however if you're from canada and you're simply visiting you're not going to be a naturalized citizen and therefore not eligible for an SSN. Just because you're not eligible for an SSN does *NOT* mean you are not here LEGALLY. My point being, that there SHOULD not be a requirement for an SSN for the simple fact that some of us who ARE here legally, such as MYSELF who was once again, BORN HERE IN THE UNITED STATES, either 1) are not eligible or 2) eligible for an SSN but choose not to apply for one because of religious reasons. The point being that there ARE *LEGAL* (NOT ILLEGAL, LEGAL) people here do not have SSN's, this does not make these LEGAL residents/citizens ILLEGAL ALIENS simply because they choose not to have an SSN. I, like you, DO *NOT* SUPPORT GIVING DRIVER LICENSES TO *ILLEGAL* ALIENS!, I SIMPLY DON'T SUPPORT THE STATES THAT REQUIRE AN SSN, AS THE LICENSING BUREAU CAN *VALIDATE* YOUR *LEGAL* STATUS WITHOUT IT
