and idea just poped into my head.

is redflex a publicly held company? if so we should all get together and buy as much stock as we possibly can and every angry citizen that has received a ticket from them should take the fine and instead buy shares of redflex and not pay the fine.

then WE THE PEOPLE become the majority share holders! we can then either run the company into the ground or shut it down altogether.

so we lose a little money, better then that way then the gov. getting to keep their cash cow and we lose more money in the long run.

Buying stock in a company with the intent of shutting it down...well you'd better have some throw away money!

Better yet, just ignore the GD RLC tickets and tie up the court system! That would take a grass roots effort though. But from what i've been reading here, it sure seems most AZ residents are fed up with all those cams spewing out ticket$.

The marketplace abhors a vacuum. When there is a customer (in this case, the state) is willing to pay for goods or services someone will step up. Put them out of business and you'll find there are several more waiting to take their place.

if you got enough people to do it it wouldn't be that much per person. and you don't have to buy all of the stock you just need enough to be the majority share holder. and a majority share holder can be a group of investors with a representative.
