Exactly. I just can't see getting $550 worth of use out of it. Jammers and RDs pay for themselves with one or two saves. This thing won't give you any saves, unless you are intentionally busting intersections. And if you are doing that often enough to need a plate hider, you're gonna get busted before you rack up $550 in RLC saves. Then there's the whole issue of so many states outlawing ANY kind of cover, clear or not, that they tend to draw too many fishing expedition stops, especially if you're DWB.
Yeah I agree...it's a cool idea and it looks sweet from the videos I saw, but it doesn't have much real-world value to it.
A smart officer can notice it and pull you over, and while it may not specifically be against the law, you're not using your state-issued plate...at the minimum in PA, it would probably qualify as obscuring your plate which is a fine of about $185...at the max, using counterfeit plates which is a 1st degree misdemeanor and will take you to county lockup...
It looks so real that I guess you might be able to get away with it, but the brightness of the screen and (what looks to be) the thickness of it might gain a little bit of attention.

Ain't that the truth!! I'm using it for a few other reasons like when I'm at the street races, I don't want people knowing my license plate number. Same for car shows and maybe the occasional flyby on the highway, calling in may not be too useful without a license plate number, especially at night in a stealth mobile.
