Has anyone used the VF Photo jammer plates? They are the ones which flash the plate to make it to bright to see when a camera flashes it. Do they work? Has anyone tried them?

see here: <!-- please comply with forum rules --!> If it works the way they say it would be good. We need independent tests. Anyone know of any?
Maybe at next years GOL they can check out what works and what doesnt 8)
I remember reading from a rather respected member of the community that the VF Photojammer, in its current iteration, will work against single-flash cameras, but that against systems such as Redflex, it's essentially useless.
I don't run reds, or even yellows, out of habit - but I would like protection.
There are circumstances that have presented, even in my past driving history, where running a yellow and/or red probably saved my life (i.e. a cement truck that wasn't able to stop), and I'm not willing to have some desk-bound clerk "judge" whether I was in the wrong or right, based on a decision I had to make in an instant. :x
This thing doesn't work for newer camera's and one that uses a double flash
Get a GPS camera locator
It also won't work against the Redflex cameras, since they also do a short 10 sec. or so video clip, which the flash doesn't react against.
Crazy Volvo Rob. What do you mean it doesnt work against new cameras? Do they have multiple flashes or can they read through the VF flash?
I mainly want one for use with the speed camera vans.
It will block out the first flash which is the focus flash and the seoncd is the picture flash.. You best line of defense is a GPS camera system like the NAValert or new Cheetah mirrorOriginally Posted by cr500
By the GPS camera system, do you mean the GPSs with the fixed camera locations downloaded into points of interest? They are not the problem as the fixed cameras always have a warning sign before them. The ones I am worried about are the ones in the side of a 4x4 which is always moved around to different area. I,m not sure how many times they flash.
What is this new Cheetah mirror?
With their current configeration, they will not work against the photo radar cameras that RacerX and I tested last year. They have been working on a fix, unknown if that will solve the problem or when the fix maybe out
