PLEASE make the J optional!

Today I was coming home on a fairly busy road and get a blip of KA. I get another blip of KA, and this time it stays beeping. After abouit 15 seconds, it J's out. I am driving for about another 15 seconds w/o noticing a cop, so I turn it off and back on. Immediatly, it starts alerting to KA band as I approach an intersection. I make my turn, and it goes full alert.

I was amazed by the range of the KA, at such an angle, but yet very disapointed that the V1 J's this threat out.

So when you turned it on you got a K alert? Or did you mean Ka?

Yeah PLEASE Mike have the J thing as an option so i can be the first one to turn it off

I have been saying this for a bit, so I have to agree with you Sethy, I would rather decide what is a false and what is not, not the computer (if its going to be incorrect)... but as of this moment I think VR and Mike have some bigger fish to fry.

Yeah i agree make J an op for sure...

If you turn off ka guard it will disable the j, but you will get more falses right?

i've been screaming for this for almost a year. it should most deff be an option.

Another thing I think the v1 needs is if the E comes up - it needs to just keep making noises - to get your attention, not just mildly sit there like it is supposed to be that way.


But as for the J - as much as I wish I could feel your pain - I've never had it J out a real alert, so for now, I would keep it on.

You can turn off the J function on mine?? You just have to go into the programing function and turn it off many people don't like to because it tends to annoy you more with false alerts to stinking cobra's now thats what id like to see better anti falsing technology to crapraS!!! Then the J wouldn't drive us so crazzy it has only happened to me three times so far mine isn't doing it as bad as my 3.851 so maybe they have fixed some of this bug i don't know..??? But i can actually have 75 percent of the cobra users pass me and mine dosen't go off to them but that 25 percent it will so.. its not totally fixed just getting better is all...
