I am thinking about getting a bra for my car, but had some questions about it. Do you have to take it off when washing your car? I can imagine it gets all damp and moldy underneath if you leave it on....right? Also, could this help with lasers since my bra is going to be flat black with no license plate?
I think you can leave them on. About the laser it will help a lot if you have a lighter color car it your car is black i don't know how much it would help.
Alot of them have "pores" that lets them breathe, so you don't have to take it off, though I would every so often.
As for laser protection, I'm sure it would help. The only thing that keeps me from getting one is that maybe if a LEO sees one on, he might go directly to the headlights(as opposed to going for center mass on my white SUV). If I were 100% sure that Veil works, I might get a bra with Veil combo.
Definitely take them off for washings. That way, dust that is trapped under them will be removed instead of scratching your clearcoat.
I am getting one for my car for the dual purpose of hiding rock chips on the bumper and cutting down laser surfaces.
I have a silver car and I think it would help a lot against laser and would look very nice.
All my friends seem to think that bra's are ugly so that has prevented me from getting one. And of course, none of my friends think in terms of "laser defense" and countermeasures like I do.
I have heard that bras trap sand and dirt underneath that ends up scratching your paint overtime. If you leave it on for years, wouldn't the paint under the bra and the paint not under the bra have a big difference is contrast from sun damage, kind of like a tan line on people?
You have to take it off frequently and clean it, otherwise, eats the paint for breakfast.

^ I think that a part of bra-use in our community here is for increased passive stealth.....thus making the use of the various "clear-bra" applications non-viable. :(
Anyone see that new DupliColor temporary spray-on bra? There's one that's matte black.
Removal within 3 days is recommended, and supposedly, even road-spray will take off the applied finish.
Still has my interest, though, for road-trips. Not so much for protection of my front-end paint/finish, but rather, whether or not it'll help in terms of LIDAR return.... :?:
