should i keep my v1 in socal?
i finally got a v1 and now i'm reconsidering my purchase. it isn't because the product isn't functional, it's just that here in socal what i've researched is that the bands that are used Ka, K, and Laser. i'm guessing around my area it's mostly Laser and Ka (los angeles county, san gabriel valley). is there by chance that the v1 will become obsolete once Lasers are the only choice for cops? yah the v1 will "notify you" of laser but i'd rather spend the money on a laser jammer (ie: Laser Interceptor). should i return the v1?

Lasers (at least in there current form) will never be the "only choice" for law enforcement. It seems to be a tedious job to use lidar, carfully painting each car, hour after hour. Also, there are other limitations, rain, fog, snow, dust, Laser Veil, Jammers. Although, the lidar engineers are getting better at dealing with these issues.

1. Laser can not be used in a moving vehicle, so it won't be the only choice for speed enforcement. Laser is also pretty sensitive to rain, and the layout of the landscape around you.
2. Laser jammers are illegal in CA.

yah i just noticed that jammers were illegal in CA .. :oops: .. looks like i'll be using the v1 then :D

:D Who cares? If you are smart and know how to use it you wont get caught. A laser alert is never a false. You have to slow down after you get the alert and hit the kill switch asap so the cop can get a reading. You have to be fast. :wink:
The only way you will get caught is if you forget to hit the kill switch. Even then, there is still "punch-through" and the cop will still get a reading. So chances are even if you make a mistake and forget you will still not get caught.
